I’ve answered questions about Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other things. Questions about books and travel planning are also welcome.
You can ask me questions here (in comments), on twitter, on facebook, on goodreads or in email.

Hi
I have people on Goodreads publishing posts from wordpress blogs to that site. Do you know how it is possible to do this?
debsanswers said:
Only Authors can feed external blogs to their goodreads profile. Librarians can add a blog for non-goodreads authors, but goodread authors have to make their own changes.

A question on wordpress. I can’t find the answer to this anywhere. I have the ‘follow’ my post widget for people to sign up for email notifications of new posts. I have noticed that for some of the blogs I follow, I receive an abstract and have to click through to read the whole piece and for others I receive the whole post. I have just found out my followers get the whole post, which means they don’t bother going to my site very often. I want to change my settings so my email followers receive an abstract but cannot find out how to do this in any forum or help page.

I don’t see that as an option on the widget, it might just be in plugins for self-hosted (WordPress.org) blogs.

I suspect that may be the case too. Thank you!

I had someone blocked on my daughters fb account. She went an unblocked the person. I was wondering if I can deactivate her account while waiting the 48hr time limit to reblock this person again? Or does her facebook have to be active for the 48hr time limit to work?
Thank You!

Can Anyone help with the above question?

I think it will still countdown while the account is deactivated, but I couldn’t find an official answer.

Hi Deb. I love your blog. Can you give some advise on how to get more “Likes” on your business page in FB.? I’m trying to help a new author get going and it seems like all the old FB ways are no longer available to get people to like her page. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Not really, I need more likes on both my Facebook pages. Posting things that people share on Facebook probably works the best. A lot of authors do well on twitter and of course there’s goodreads.

Hi Deb,
I want to do something creative. Like I want to design clothes ( I am good at it). I know how to style clothes in a different way. Have a good taste in mix and match.
The only thing which is bothering me is I don’t know how to turn my passion into profession. I am working in an IT firm. I want to get out of it and do something what I want to do. Please help
